I have never seen the original, but this was a really fun film. The villains were cool and quite brutal, it was filmed very well and the acting was pretty good. (Well aside from Paris Hilton of course) And it actually had a pretty good story as its base. The effects were executed decently as well. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it...
