PINEAPPLE EXPRESS

(9 of 10)

I'm not a particular fan of "Drug Movies", but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It was histerical and if you like comedies you should give this one a shot... James Franco and Seth Rogan were funny as hell. Rent it.

MIRRORS (2008)

(81/2 of 10)

Kiefer Sutherland is a man with alot on his shoulders after he takes a job at a bulding haunted by a deadly force. It can kill you using your own reflection. An eerie plot all by itself. I'd have to say It's actually an alright movie. It has one of the most horrific death scenes I've seen in years, so any movie I can say that about is alright in my book. Check it out on DVD!

DISASTER MOVIE

(8 of 10)

It's exactly what it calls itself. It's a Disaster of a Movie. But it's still funny and has a hot male lead. What more can you reaslly ask for from a mindless comedy spoof...

THE FAMILY THAT PREYS

(8 1/2 of 10)

Tyler Perry is a man of many talents - as an actor or a writer he's amazing at what he does. And this film is no exception. It's a film with heart that makes you think to yourself: Am I Existing or Am I Living? Kathy Bates and Alfre Woodard give outstanding performances! If you haven't seen it, go rent it.

The SLEEPAWAY CAMP Franchise

I Recently Purchased Return To Sleepaway Camp on DVD and the friend I was with said she'd never heard of it... and you all know what that means: Franchise Movie Night! Yes, we sat through all 3 previous films before getting into the "Return" and let me tell you - it was definately worth the wait! Well, here's my review of the entire franchise if you, like her, haven't ever heard of it...

SLEEPAWAY CAMP (1983)
(10 of 10)

In the essence of Friday the 13th - it feels alot like it in fact. The story begins when a shy girl is ruthlessly picked on by the other campers at Camp Arawak. This infuriates her cousin, Ricky. And soon a string of bizarre "accidents" begin to happen to those who picked on her. The ending is one of the most chilling and freaky sequence of images that is sure to make you rest uneasy for nights to come. This one should not be missed.

SLEEPAWAY CAMP II: UNHAPPY CAMPERS (1988)
(10 of 10)

Everyone's favorite transsexual psychopath is back! But this time she's a camp counselor at Camp Rolling Hills. And she's more vicous than ever in her attempt to take out the trash. (The campers that she sees aren't up to her standards of camping etiquite) This one's got a few more laughs than the original and doesn't try to scare you as much as it tries to gross you out. 2 Words: Out House! =shudders= It's a great popcorn flick and I respect it for following the story of the original and making its killer an icon. You should catch this one if you haven't seen it yet.

SLEEPAWAY CAMP 3: TEENAGE WASTELAND
(10 of 10)

Angela's back at a new camp, this time as a misfit camper with punishment in mind for those who refuse to enjoy their time at Camp Neww Horizons. This one has some brutal death scenes and a pretty desent storyline. It stands on its own as a really good sequel to the original masterpiece. I can't call it scary though. I still recommend it if you haven't seen it. And if you haven't seen any of them, I would tell you to go out and buy the DVD Box Set of the first three films. It comes with a Bonus Disc of Production Footage from the unfinished "Sleepaway Camp IV: The Survivor". (The sequel that was never made).

RETURN TO SLEEPAWAY CAMP (2008)
(10 of 10)

This one was worth the wait! It feels alot like the original Sleepaway Camp in its attempt to get under your skin with its disturbing death scenes and make you feel uneasy throughout the duration of the film. It's the first entry that doesn't focus on Angela. Although, I didn't like that fact: I did like it's twisted ending!

SIMPLY IRRESISTABLE

(10 of 10)

I Love Sarah Michelle Gellar and I especially love her in this movie. It's exactly what the title promises... SIMPLY IRRESISTABLE! If you haven't seen it, go rent it!

HEAD OVER HEELS

(9 of 10)

The other day I was in the mood for romantic comedies. So I sat down and watched a couple of them. One of which was this film and I like it today just as mutch as I did when it first came out. If you like romantic comedies, or Freddie Prinze Jr. for thaty matter, you shouldn't miss this one.

BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA

( 7 of 10)

Okay, I'm all about the Vampire movies, if they're good, and this one to me, wasn't good. I know it's an older movie and I had only seen pieces of it when it first came out and I remember thinking that it looked really cool and scary. But apparently this is one of those films that don't stand up to the test of time very well. I still enjoyed it, but it has too many holes in the story and for it being so long of a film, it should have had none. But if you like vampire epics and haven't seen it yet, vampire fanatics will tell you it's an essential view. But to me, it's just another DVD in the Wal-Mart $5.00 Bin.

EDEN LAKE

(10 of 10)

Every once in a while a film comes out that truly gets under your skin & grabs you by the throat and refuses to let go until the credits roll, THIS IS THAT FILM! A young couple are terrorized by a bunch of local teens (KIDS, I mean young kids!)who Beat, brutalize and hunt them down like wild animals! It's very disturbing and I've never seen anything like it. It's truly original and is guaranteed to scare you to the core. I recommend this film to the true horror fans out there who don't mind having their heads f*cked with for an hour and a half...

MIDNIGHT MOVIE

(9 of 10)

Midnight Movie has an interesting premise: A killer from a Movie comes out of the Movie and kills the people watching it in the theater. But it didn't live up to me expectations. It was still pretty good although I felt it could have been a lot better. But if you've got nothing else to watch you should still give it a view...

MY BLOODY VALENTINE (1981)

8 out of 10)

I wanted to see the original before I ran off to the theater to see the 3-D remake... So I finally watched the DVD that had been gathering dust on a shelf for over a year. And, to my surprise, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was creepy and sinister and had a pretty scary ending. Now, there's a special edition "UNCUT" Version coming to DVD and I'm going to have to get it now because I liked this one so much. I'll definately review the Uncut Version after I get it so stay tuned for the upcoming review...

Here's the trailer for the Special Edition Uncut Version:

KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE

(8 1/2 out of 10)

KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE is exactly what I thought it would be - a great popcorn flick that's not to be taken too seriously. It plays out relatively fast with a couple twists and "Bullsh*t" moments but if ou watch it for what it is and don't expect alot out of it, you'll definately enjoy it...
